Seems there's a lot of updates that have come out for the Garmin Edge 510/810 today.

    Yep, update appeared on my Garmin connect this morning.
    I'm currently deliberating whether or not to install as my 810 is working perfectly on 3.20 :?
    Although i haven't seen any complaints so far of any major issues from this update.

    From reading DC Rainmaker's site it seems he's got input into these updates, he seems to know what he's talking about.

    DC rainmaker does some fantastic reviews.
    However, don't forget garmins last few updates for the 510 & 810 have caused as many issues as they solved, or so it appears from the garmin forums.

    But like I say, so far the feedback on this update seems positive!

    yes the last few have been flaky to say the least and my 510 has became increasingly prone to crashing/low memory problems ever since. albeit my own fault as I hadnt synched for a while but I lost nearly 2 weeks of data last time, so I might give it a few more days to see as more people install them waking up after NYE how it goes.

    After upgrading my 510 to formware 3.40 uploading of my rides is now problematic via USB, browser and the Garmin Cummunicator plugin. The progress bar gets about half way and gets stuck. I'm having to manually upload the file.

    Despite a few folks on here disagreeing, I think Garmin's quality control for Edge firmware releases is very poor.

    My theory is, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

    My 510 is working and uploading fine, so won't be updating in the immediate future (even if I do like the sound of on screen gear displays).
