Will MTB disk brake callipers fit a disk ready cyclocross frame?

    Yes, but you will struggle with drop levers leverage. I did use Avid BB7 MTB for a while, but had to keep the pads really close to the disc rotor and had a lot of rubbing... the counter argument is that the stopping power is phenomenal, compared to road calipers

    That's good news, as I was planning to use flat bars and mtb levers, so happy days! Thanks for the info.

    How can you tell the difference between the BB7 road and MTB versions of the calipers? I've been messing around with the brakes on my London Road, and have got them very close indeed.
