My 456 evo II

It's been almost a couple of months now that I droped a FS for a steel hardtail, and never looked back again.
There have been a few changes since when I first build it, was on borrowed forks and cheapo tires. Most recent upgrades are a rockshox sektor 150 turncoil, superstar switch evo hubs on pacenti dl31 rims, and my old pair of maxxis HR and Minnion dhf which are quite heavy but grippy.
Frame on one 456 evoII size 20
Drivetrain consist of:
Zee rear mech
Saint shifter
Chain ring Blachspire N/W 32t
11/36 SLX cassette
Brakes:
Magura MT2, 203mm discs
Funn funduro 45mm stem
Superstar 780 bar
The ride is impressive, the harder you ride it the smother it gets...
never thought scaffolding tube is so good making bike frames
This is the FS it replaced
Sitting with a pinched flat at the end of the trail. The big betty at the back looked promissing but being a 2.4 meant that frame rubbing was unavoidable!!! So binned... The SR suntour epicon forks are a kind offer from a good friend :!:
On maxxis HR rear and Minnion DHF front. The 2.5 maxxis rear has lots of clearance compared to the BB 2.4
odd?...
as it is now.. new wheelset and fork, made it a beast, don't know wich made the biggest difference but cornering is amazing just point the exit and shoot!!!

It is fun yes!!! If you are on a budget is one of the best frames around. Only downside will not take a tapered fork so limited fork options.
The 45650b is better given the 44mm headtube wich means more/better fork options. Now days top notch forks are scarce in the 11/8 form“I am a humanist, which means, in part, that I have tried to behave decently without expectations of rewards or punishments after I am dead.”
