Hi
I'm upgrading my groupo to SRAM force 22, I'll be running a standard double but I'm not sure to go for the 11-28 or 11-32 wifli
Can anyone share any experiences of such setups?
Will mainly be doing flat road racing and crits but with some odd weekend training hills
Main concern is if I go with the wifi will I have unnecessary jumps which during a race could be a pain

Here's the details on the ratios
Gear ratio:
11-25: 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,19,21,23,25
11-26: 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,19,21,23,26
11-28: 11,12,13,14,15,16,17,19,22,25,28
WiFLi 11-32 cassette option:
11-32: 11,12,13,14,15,17,19,22,25,28,320 -
How steep are the hills? Being a racer, you'll probably do fine with 39-28 at the back, that'll still see you up just about anything as a stronger rider.0

You don't need wifli for flat road races or crits. If the races are flat, then 11-23 will be all that you need. Just stick another cassette on for the occasional hill trip. Having said that, if all the racing you do is on the flat, then why bother training in the hills?0

Get a compact or a semi compact and go for 11/23 or 11/250

^^This should be fine for your needs, I have similar (11/26) on one of my bikes that is used for all types of riding.
I also use an 11/28 on my other bike so if you feel the need for easier gears on the hills this is the one to go for with the standard rear mech.0 -

You can get away with 11-28 using a standard rear derailleur. The 11-32 is overkill and I'm nothing to write home about with climbing. You'll find yourself spinning like crazy for no noticeable forward momentum. I use a semi compact with 12-28 and it has gotten me up everything so far.I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.0 -
i'd go for a 52/36 on the front and 11-28 at the back.....0
