Garmin edge 705 - history problems

Hi
As of Saturday my Garmin had a recent history of rides, but strava and training peaks did not recognise any to download. It then appears to have wiped the history, and as of now my new rides appear on my garmin, but both of the above are still saying there are none there. Both suggest a zero byte uni file. Has anyone had this problem? Is it the garmin or me, or missing updates etc etc.
Cheers

I had some kind of problem with my 705 - might have been that it was a while ago - resetting it (hard reset) cured it anyway so might be worth a try - will wipe any saved courses though so save anything you want to keep.[Castle Donington Ladies FC - going up in '22]0

weird. i've experienced the very same thing today. haven't managed to solve it yet. the history is on the Garmin but Strava says there is no data (tried both Mac and PC)0

have you tried manually uploading the ride?0

If i use a cheap usb cable with my edge 500 it doesnt always sync, maybe try a different cable?
or once connected, look on the device via your computer to see if the gpx (i think thats what they are) files are on there. If so copy these to your cmomputer and manually upload them.www.conjunctivitis.com - a site for sore eyes0 -
To guard against issues like this I now have my Garmin set to store the ride history on the external SD card. If/when the unit misbehaves then my history is always available using a card reader if need be.http://www.fachwen.org
