Wheel and tyre advice please.

Can anyone please advise me. I'm just about to take delivery of my first "real" road bike. After experiencing delivery problems with my first choice, I ended up getting the Ribble Gran Fondo. It comes with the Shimano RS11 Clincher Wheels and 23mm Vittoria Rubino 3 Rigid Tyre's. I haven't really got the funds to buy any extra's just yet so could anyone tell me if these wheels and particularly the tyre's, are more suited to winter or summer use? Can't wait to get going but don't want to end up in a ditch first time out.

They are not bad to be honest... don't go crazy with the tyre pressure and you won't end up in a ditch. 90-110 PSI depending on your weightleft the forum March 20230

They'll be fine, you won't end up in a ditch. Nice wheels and tyres can make a big difference to ride quality, but the entry level fare still works. You may find that you get punctures, which is a good reason to get better tyres, but then again you may not. Summer wheels to most are nicer ones that you don't want winter road muck all over, and come the spring you'll probably have a better idea of what you're after anyway.0
