Hello all,

Looking for some advice suggestions....

I have a pair of specilized road sport shoes and looking to upgrade, spec size 44 good fit

Really like giro trans white/black but got a pair of these is 43.5 but they are too narrow! gutted, best price on these is 105 quid but from germany so an arse to send back. tempted to give the 44 a go tho, and no where to try in cornwall

So looking for other suggestions about the £100 mark, like white shoes lol

Think about shimano r171 but new so no reviews etc or fizik r3 in white red black

any thoughts????

Bont Riot. White (mostly), wide, stiff. http://www.wiggle.co.uk/bont-riot-cycle-road-shoe/
  • Don't get the Fizik R3 with straps (I think the newer ones have Boa) - lots of people have had them break.

White shoes ? In Britain ? This is as mad as coloured footy boots.

Dunno about colours but I do find Spesh to make very comfy shoes. Much better than my Sidis and Vittorias anyway.

+1. Extremely comfy. I have some Mavic Road pros (in black) and liked them so much I bought some Zxelliums (next model up) in white for summer - even comfier! Really wanted "in yer face Yellow" but couldn't track any down at a decent price, the white are great and easy to keep clean when they get a bit dusty/dirty. Recommended.

Giro makes the Trans in an HV (high volume-wide) version as well.

Northwave are good for wide feet as are Shimano wide fitting - good prices on Shimano from Evans at the moment.

I have a pair of Louis Garneau's in white (two velcro's + one ratchet fastener). I've not noticed any issues with them - and when it's wet & mucky I use overshoes :)

I've got the RL variant, also in white. Excellent shoes, stiff carbon sole and good fit. I'm normally an 8/42, but the 9/43 fit me perfectly.
