Odd marking on fork leg.

Hi, just servicing my Roubaix this week and noticed that on the bottom of the left fork leg near the dropouts there is an indent about 2 inches long and just about deep enough to feel. There isn't one on te other side. Anything to worry about ? Could it have always have been there I haven't noticed? Possibly an indent in paint I guess there can't be in carbon ?!
