So I put my money down on a supersix ultegra a few months ago. Cannondale have now told the bike shop that frame is too narrow to safely fit 25mm tyres as was the plan.

The thing is this was to be my dream bike. I really wanted 25mm tyres. All my other bikes have 25mm and I really like the feel.

So has anyone got a new 2015 supersix? Am I being overly fussy? Get another bike? Thoughts welcomed!

If you like 25mm tyres I'd change my choice of frame. There's plenty good frames about. The Supersix is nice but there are plenty other very nice options.

Are you sure as the adverts for it list it as coming with mavic 25 tyres on as standard??

  • Yes I am seriously considering something else. Just not sure what.

Yes that's what the ads say but unfortunately the proof of the pudding is that they can't safely take 25mm tyres - that's according to Cannondale now the bikes are being delivered to the bike shops. Quite a big mistake on Cannondale's part I reckon.

  • So the Cannondale distributor got back to the bike shop - 25mm tyres will indeed fit the 2015 Evo and won't void the warranty.
