Hi guys, looking for some thoughts on which for is the better xc fork? Current forks on my old xc bike are RS Sid's, which have been great, but I have never tried fox floats or rebas, so not sure which would be the better option? Couple of bikes I'm looking at and the only real difference between the 2 is the forks. Rebas are £200 cheaper than the fox option.
Cheers

Check out the servicing requirements on the Fox, then if that hasn't made up your mind, come back!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

I have had both and would definitely recommend the Reba over the Float.
The Reba has longer service intervals, is stiffer (less flex) is better damped and I think it rides better. I think the Fox is lighter though.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

Do you have a link to the Fox? Are a few variants of it - some better than others.0

That Fox fork is at least as nicely damped as the Reba but very flexy.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

I'd prefer the Reba too - that standard CTD does not have as good compression adjustment.0

Thinking Reba myself, better for servicing etcCube reaction gtc race 2011 26er, Canyon spectral al 8.0 2014, cube reaction gtc race 2015 29er
