Looking to go to either the Surrey Hills or Cut Gate Path MTBing on a 100mm HT with MBR's routes. Has anyone been to both and has one they prefer over the other. They are both around 2 hours from where I live.

Thanks.

Cut gate is better as a single trail, sh is better as a destination.

Cutgate is a short out-and-back ride (10miles-ish) not a problem for me as i'm 5 minutes away.If I was driving for 2 hours+ to get here I'd add it on to one of the "Classic" Ladybower loops to make it 25-35miles or extend into Edale if you can hack 35-45 miles.
There's some of the best riding in the country in the Dark Peak be a shame to just do 10 miles of it 8)

Why cut gate in particular, this time of year it'll be pretty poor up on the top bit.

As Ibbo says plenty of other decent riding around the area, ladybower/edale way and all better conditioned for the winter.
