Links to specs?Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

I've got the 2014 trance 2 and love it, I have made a few changes but it's very capable. I believe the spec of the 2015 model is slightly better (brakes I believe) and they seem to have dropped the overdrive 2 headset too.
My opinion is biased however as I've not ridden the other two.0 -
The Canyon Spectral. I haven't ridden any but the Spectral is one of the sexiest bikes around.
Edit : It's the Spectral AL I meant, all in black.0 -
I would go for the Trance but save a bit of cash for a decent fork.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

If you can pick up the 2014 model of the Trance, you should be able to get a decent discount which would go a decent way to a new set of forks and the new upper headset that would be needed as it uses overdrive 2. Plus the 2014 model looks rather nice in all black.0

The original fork off the 2012 model is worth bugger all though because no one is going to want to buy a fork which needs a special headset fitted and the fork gets dreadful reviews.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

That's true but the savings should offset that0 -

come on, people buy bikes/bike products on the basis of their looks and internet clique.0 -
They do, and should be actively discouraged from doing so and instead buying the best bike for them for RIDING instead of just looking at!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Buying a bicycle based on aesthetics is a stupid idea. Buy a bike for how it rides.
You can't see it when you're riding so it doesn't matter what it looks like.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

It is a sexy bike. But if anyone is going to buy one, based on that single opinion alone, they probably shouldn't be spending that much.0
