Wordpress blog - linking to Twitter

I'm currently developing a blog and want to link it to Twitter so that I can tweet new blog entries but also that tweets appear in the blog itself.
Is this done via one of the free widgets or do I need to pay to do this? I'm new to Twitter and Wordpress so I'm struggling a little bit here...

Are you sure you can contain everything you want in your blog entry within 140 characters? Or will you simply be using TinyUrl links linking back to the blog? You could try a social sharing widget, there are many free ones available, or depending on the theme used, it may already be built in.0
