Ambleside rides

Off for a long weekend and I was hoping for suggestions for a 40 odd mile ride which misses out A roads and offers great scenery.

    Ambleside - Clappersgate - Bog Lane - Drunken Duck - Knipe Fold - B5285 to northern edge of Coniston - down east side of lake - Lowick Bridge - Spark Bridge - Bouth - Ealinghearth - Newby Bridge - short stretch of A592 (quiet) to Fell Foot - Gummers How - Strawberry Bank - refreshments in Masons Arms, best pub in the Lakes! - Bowland Bridge - A5074 Lythe Valley road (nice road don't worry about the "A" - Bowness - A592 (Kirkstone Pass) - Kirkstone Pass Inn then left down the Struggle (take it easy) - Ambleside.

    42 Miles avoiding heavy traffic!
