i spec b levers and shifters

I've for a while had xt shifters and recently added xt brakes and wonder do any of you lot use the I spec part to mount them both together ?
I was thinking of getting rid of the gear indicators for a cleaner look on the handlebars and saw these covers to convert my shifters to mount on to the brake levers.
My question is are they worth the money or just another way of shimano making money out of us as they are 20 quid on crc.

I have fitted I-Spec mounts on my XTR Shifters and XT Brake Levers, they are a bit of a gimmick, but they do work well and have made some space on the bars, only one clamp now.
