Just bought one. I have left it charging for several hours. The indicator light never reaches a point where it is steady to indicate it is fully charged but just keeps flashing green. Anybody else had this issue?

No my wifes eventually had a solid green light but charged it off a USB plug, if you charge off a desktop / laptop USB socket it takes longer to charge.
  • stick it on a phone charger. Charges much faster!

  • Thanks guys.

I left it on mains charge overnight and it finally charged fully. Surprised that when I used it this morning the indicator went orange / red within about 5 minutes though there is clearly plenty of life left in it.

If it's still within warranty, get it swapped.

Although I will sing Lezyne's praises, there's still a Friday afternoon model out there somewhere!
  • Contact upgrade bikes, the distributor. Sounds like it might be a dodgy battery. One of the cells that came with my Power Drive did the same. E-cigarette shops are a handy high street source for LR18650 of you want to try a different battery quickly.

+1 I had charging issues with my Deca Drive, Upgrade were 1st class, swapped it without question.
Get a 2amp charger too, charges much faster in HE mode ;)

+1 for getting a new battery. I got a superdrive XL with a spare battery, one was fine the other wouldn't hold a charge, they sent me a new one straight away. I would recommend getting in touch with harvey@upgradebikes.co.uk he will be able to sort it out.

Ive had a couple of these (first one stopped working and was replaced under warranty). They both take overnight to fully charge and thats with a usb into a mains plug. They have quite a big battery so maybe thats why they take so long. I have two batteries and they both take a similar time to charge. Sounds like there is nothing wrong to me.

I have a Superdrive XL, if you charge it from a high capacity charging source (I use an iPad charger) the charging light turns blue and it charges much faster.

  • I have sent it back to Sigma from whom I bought it and they have agreed to replace it. Fingers crossed the new one is better!
