Issue with GXP converter for Hope bottom bracket
Hi -
Anyone out there had experience using the GXP converter with a hope bottom bracket?
I've installed the two cups - pretty sure they were driven in straight, and everything was turning smoothly until I installed the crank and torqued it up a bit, when everything seized up. Crank back off, removed the bracket cups, and now the non drive side is well and truly seized.
This kind of thing happened to anyone else?
Cheers
Chris.

Sounds like you have too many spacers fitted."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

hmm - its a 68mm shell, so installed the spacers per (what i thought were!) the instructions, so 2x2.5mm on the drive side, 1 x 2.5mm non drive side.
Sound incorrect? Also any ideas how to unseize the non-drive side cup??0 -
looks like i didn't pay close enough attention to the version i bought (MTB). Its to fit on a planet x uncle john, so instead looks like I should have bought the road version with 1mm spacers. Dang. Another lesson learnt!0
