Love it. Our little boy is 5 (6 in Jan) and we're off to Lapland again. We enjoyed it so much two years ago that we wanted to do it all over again. Own log cabin with it's own sauna and log fire. Brilliant.0

Is this your Lake Como trip, or have you already done that?Statistically, 6 out of 7 dwarves are not happy.0 -
On the bikes? That was October.
This one is ski related as we're driving up to the mountains for a week over new year.Advocate of disc brakes.0 -

Well, anyone changed their outlook since last year and more importantly, will Sean have to have carp again?
Bah humbug!0 -
Christmas day is largely for ignoring the stuff I know I'm getting and going out on me bike to make the guilt of my later indulgence lesserAnd the people bowed and prayed, to the neon god they made.0

Currently in Prague for a few days enjoying the Christmas markets. Also booked a little cottage in the Cotswolds from the 18th for a week, can't wait!0

Claims not to like Christmas yet seeks out the Christmas thread. I reckon Bally dresses up as Santa for the whole of December.0

I do like Christmas but mainly because I get to stay at my parents, see my sister (which only happens a couple of times a year), usually see most/all of my grandparents and catch up with friends from school. So yeah, I like it!www.conjunctivitis.com - a site for sore eyes0

I don't enjoy the hype and the need to spend shedloads of money on things you don't need. I do enjoy spending time with the family and getting away from the office for a few days.
Also, this year is the first year that I've not been working the Christmas weekend so I'm going to enjoy it even more :-)2010 Lynskey R230

I like Christmas because I see my family (who I usually only see 2-3 times a year due to me living the opposite end of the UK), and I have time off work. Weirdly since I've got older I actually like kind of like buying presents for people. Me and my brothers have teamed up to get my dad a bike as a Christmas/retirement present this year - it's just a Ribble 525 but he's still riding around on a bike he bought for a fiver off a guy who was about to throw it in a skip 20 years ago. He was talking about buying his own bike earlier in the year but he kept sending me links to terrible Halfords gaspipe things so we managed to persuade him off the idea. Strange really, since he's been convinced into buying mountain bikes costing hundreds of pounds each for me and my brothers over the years.
Also because it becomes acceptable to go for after work drinks pretty much any day of the week.0 -
