Stem replacement

Hi all just bought myself a road bike which has a tapered steerer 1.125 - 1.5 and I need to change the stem for a shorter one but with the tapered steerer I'm not sure what size steerer clamp I should be looking for. Would appreciate your help please.

Tapered steerer only affects the headset size, not stem clamp size.0
