Var torque wrenchs are the ones I have the most confidence in. Also they come with a range of torx and allen key heads.
Like this one http://www.retto.co.uk/cycling/det/var_ ... 15_nm.aspx. this is the one without the scockets, the one with is a bit more expensive I think. I got mine trade of the var distributor. Not sure how much they cost now.
If you are going to buy tools to work on your pride and joy why not buy the best you can, rather than the cheapest.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0 -
A very smart forum member suggested I forget the dedicated 'cycle' ones, and to go for:

And

Though the latter may be overkill, you could easily get a smaller cheaper set to accompany the excellent wrench.Felt F70 05 (Turbo)

The problem with the automotive torque wrenches is the range. Cycle one will allow you to selct low troques many of the automotive ones start at 20 or 30Nm and go up to 200Nm. I can't think of anything on a bike that is torqued beyond 70Nm (DS italian BB cup). Most stuff needing a torque wrench is 3-12Nm.http://www.thecycleclinic.co.uk -wheel building and other stuff.0

Big one for BBs, Ritchey Torqkey for bars & stems, small one for everything else.0
