Well, Salmond has expressed an admiration for Putin, and more than a few people have detected a few similarities, not least, despite the apparent liberal agenda of the SNP, a fairly totalitarian mindset (only the SNP speaks for Scotland, we're so wonderful and inclusive that we don't really need any other parties, etc).
