    She was kept out of it. Her grandfather used to tell me stories and then when she appeared the subject was changed. Women need not know what went on.

    I'm not surprised she needed protection, she worked for the Richardsons yet lived in the next street to the Krays? The Richardsons were from South London and enemies of the Krays.

    Grew up in the next street to the Krays. Had moved on by the time worked for Richardsons, in a pub they owned just off Fleet St.
