I don't have anywhere to work on my bike at my new house except on the pavement, and was wondering if there are bikeshops where you can 'hire' a workbench?
I have tools and all the bits I need, just don't want to sat in the rain, probably in the dark for a long evening.
London, preferably City or SW based.

There are some black heavy duty rubber rugs that you can put down in your flat to do the dirty work. You can then hoover them and give them a wipe... I don't think that' a big issue. The really big issue if you don't have outdoor space is where to wash your bike (if you do)left the forum March 20230

The reason I am asking isn't because I am not aware of rubber mats. It's because I am not in a position to use any room in the house as a temporary workshop.0

OT, but I once built a 25' carbon fibre mast for a sailing dinghy in a 2nd-floor one-bed flat. It did get in the way to a certain extent, and I had to rig up an aerial ropeway to a nearby lamp post to get it out...Pannier, 120rpm.0

That looks good. Also found a place called Micycle which does something similar.
