fox fork and shock yearly service where to send?

My shock and fork feels like its time for its first full strip down. Its had a few diy lower services but its feeling like its time for some TLC.
The question being do I send it to mojo which seems to be £220+ but free pickup and postage plus all warranty issues if any will be covered. Also 20% off future servicing. Or send it to either, loco which comes in at £195, tf tuned £214, plush suspension tuning £193 or jtech suspension £187ish.
Is it worth the extra cash sending it to mojo or is this just a case of paying for the name kind of thing when its exactly the same work and materials used ? Any helpful advise or insight is welcome thanks in advance.

I would use TF Tuned, they always do a quality job and can usually send it to them on a Monday to get them back ready for the weekend.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Another vote here for TF Tuned. Great service and quick turnaround.Bikes are OK, I guess... :-)

They all have good reputations you should be fine where ever you send it. Assuming the fork is working fine and just needs a service they will all do pretty much the same things.
I've used Loco and TF tuned before and had good service from both. Although Loco was more willing to sit and discuss options when I wanted to change the internals.0 -
I quite like Locotuning as it's basically a man in a shed from what I can gather.I don't do smileys.

may as well get it tuned when you get it service as its only a 40-50 more. I'd send it to TFtuned to get the shock pushed.0

They are a small operation, (I think its just the two of them) but calling them a man in shed is a bit of injustice. They are professional and they really know their stuff. Not just a bunch of cyctec trained guys performing the same steps as per the manual.0 -

I've always used TF for their quality service and quick turnaround times. Their Push tune is worth the extra too.
Mojo are pretty slow from what I gather, although might be quieter at this time of year.Current:

If the fork and shocks are still under warranty (I think this is two years from purcahse) then to maintain the warranty you should send to mojo. They do a great job and put on new decals. Once out of warranty then it does not matter. I send my fox kit to Mojo and everything thing and else to TFTuned. Both do a great job.Nothing ventured, nothing gained. http://doricdiversions.com

Sent them to mojo glad I I did tbf as there was a cartridge issue that I didn't know of. It was replaced FOC under warranty with the service. Got them back and they feel soooo much better no doubt who I'll be using in future. 10/10 its basically the same price when you consider the collection and postage costs + service vs tf etc. And anyone else wouldn't have covered the warranty issue so I'm a happy customer.SHUT UP AND RIDE!!!

Any good suspension suspension specialist would have got the warranty issue sorted, the recall was well publicised.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Fox 34 evo ctd is probably worth less than the cost of servicing it and the warranty isn't worth much for a fork that is barely fit for purpose. IMHOCloset jockey wheel pimp whore.0

I had the recall issue fixed ages ago by them this was another warranty issue just to clear things up.SHUT UP AND RIDE!!!

When posters have talked about sending the forks / shocks away and getting them tuned. Can you explain how the workshop does this without seeing you sat on the bike ( adjust sag and rebound ). Or do you ask them to fit a volume reducer inside the shock ?"The Prince of Wales is now the King of France" - Calton Kirby0

You'd give them as much info as you can eg rider weight, riding style, terrain type, what bike etc and give them a set of requirements on what you want to change eg more / less ramp up, slower initial stoke rebound etc..
They would then use that info and their knowledge to modify the suspension to your requirements. Its not guaranteed to be exactly perfect first time but unless you ask for something very exotic they should be able to get pretty close.0 -
Tuning involves modifications to the dampers, usually the shim stacks. It's only for when you want to change specific characteristics so the tuner will need you to describe in detail what you don't like about the way your fork or shock works. I had my old Rockshox Lyric tuned because the rebound damping at the bottom end of the stroke was too slow so they wouldn't recover between high speed big hits when they were set at the right speed to work everywhere else so TF Tuned modified the damper.
Most people just send a fork or shock to a suspension tuner for a service which involves a full strip down and a rebuild with fresh oil and seals. That often makes it feel better than new without the need for tuning. The tuner will also adjust the set up to suit your weight and style. Most people have far tpo much compression damping and set the rebound way too slow so that improves the way it works as well.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

I'd have said the opposite on the rebound0 -

Most people have their rebound really slow with the paranoid idea that if they even look at a jump it will send them flying over the bars but it's surprising how fast you can safely run it. Unless it starts spiking, faster rebound means your tyres are in contact with the ground more so you have more grip.
I set mine by finding a rocky corner and riding around it as fast as i can, slowly increasing rebound speed until it starts suddenly loosing grip consistently and suddenly, then back it off just a little. Setting a shock with low and high speed rebound takes a bit more time and a trail with a big jump and a nice rock garden and some small, close packed roots.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -
I don't have enough rebound on my forks or shock for my taste0
-
Are you too fat for your CCDB Inline? They have a limited range of rebound but it can be modified by TF Tuned for the larger (15+ stone)Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
-
no not fat, high leverage ratio. its the high speed damping that's set to max, low speed is fine.0
-
I'm only using about one third of the HSR and one turn off max LSR with 190psi and full air can volume.
Nice and fast :-)Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350
