I'm in the process of overhauling a hub on a shimano R500 rear wheel. I need to replace a washer-like piece that sits immediately behind the drive side cone, sandwiching the seal ring with the dust cover. It's this piece:

Wheel facing side:

Cassette-facing side:

Trouble is, it doesn't seem to match with anything on the shimano tech doc. I think it's a spacer, but was hoping someone here might be able to shed some light on the matter!

Looks like a part of the dustcover system, indeed spacer with folded edge outside.
I noticed these things in cheap Shimano hubs.
    May have laying around one.
    Why replace?
  • Try on SJS cycles they are good for Shim hub parts.

Keezx - part of the washer is warped (you can just see in the top picture) and it was causing the bearings to jam. If you have one lying around that you wouldn't mind posting, that would be much appreciated!

wishitwasallflat - thanks, I have just come across them. Annoyingly, the images for their hub spares are all a stock image of a groupset, rather than the actual piece being sold, so it's quite hard to know if I'm ordering the correct part!
