Ribble Sportive Racing 2015 or R872?

Hi, I'm in a bit of situation. I'm struggling which one to pick between Ribble Sportive Racing 2015 and Ribble R872?
For now I prefer Shimano 105 (5800) just because I haven't try Campagnolo before. However, I'm also tempted to try Campag Veloce or Centaur.
I really like R872 design more than Sportive Racing 2015 too.
Any Ribble owners out there can help me on this? Thank you!

Took delivery of my Ribble Sportive Racing yesterday. After a little set up, took it for a couple of mile test. What a bike, light, responsive and great fit. Highly recommmended!0

Have you tried R872 before? I'm curious what's the difference between these two and which one is best. Congrats on your new bike btw!0 -
I seem to have hit a bit of a stumbling block. I had also decided strongly on getting the Sportive Racing too. However , having done a little more research, and talking to my LBS,I don't know what to do. Basically, the salesman gave me a "warning " about buying cheap carbon fibre. Said it would be better to buy a good quality alu/alloy frame instead, or " I might be bringing my bike home in a carrier bag" ( I didn't tell him what I'd seen, or where I'd looked. Only about my budget of £1000) I don't know enough about carbon fibre or Ribble to be 100% sure that the Sportive is "safe".0

utter load of bollox. Ignore the twit and buy your ribble.
I know of absolutely NO stories where ribble bikes have failed, only people reporting 10s of thousands of miles cycled.0 -

Were there not some issues with the Gran Fondo around the drop outs a while back?0 -
There are issues around pretty much everything if you look long and hard enough. I'm betting said LBS had an alloy framed bike in budget but not a carbon one. Coincidentally, of course.0

Great decision, you won't regret it, I assure you.
Took about four weeks for mine to arrive, just in time for the coldest weather this year!!!!!0
