(Silly season thread filler)

First person to answer it gets to pose another question. No Googling or otherwise and it has to be cycling related.

I'll start it relatively simple and in the current spirit:

Name one of Etienne De Wilde's track partners.

Fairly sure this is to do with some Garmin stunt a few years ago IIRC.

    Hushovd, Haussler & someone.

    Farrar I think.

But it's deejay asking the question so it won't be anything that that recent. They'll be from the 60s or 70s.

Three Muscateers? Kelly's one time team mates at Flandria? Maertens, Pollentier and Marc de Mayer (not sure I've spelt de Mayer right). There's a story that early in his career Kelly followed Maertens round the bunch one day copying what gear he was in (on the 55 or whatever Freddy was pushing), Kelly is said to have said that his legs ached for days afterwards.

My question. Which sometime (current) training partner of Kelly's rode his first World Tour races this year? Technically if Kelly became an honorary Flandrian, this young man is, arguably, an actual Flandrian and honourary Irishman.

And even earlier so you should find them in "Sporting Cyclist".

What's happening? Crudcatcher got sucked into the wheel? Hit a dog on the road and it's taking you to court? Curious incident with lollipop lady? The missus found receipts for the shiny bits?
It's all come to a grinding halt...
