After months of looking for the right frame to pop up, I just snapped this 2013 Boardman Road Sport, including seat clamp and bottom bracket for a really god price, just round the corner from where I live :P
Planning to build it up as a single speed with flat bars. I have a few bits kicking about to get me started.... Forks, seat, seat post, Shimano R500 wheels. Also have some bars ready to go, once I have a headset & stem.
This is my first ever full build, cant wait to get stuck in!!

You won't regret building. I have learned so much building my own bikes. Only problem is that I now spend more time building or restoring than I do riding!0

Starting to look like a bike: Token Headset & Crank Brothers bars installed, along with a Stella Azzurra stem, carbon spaces & some Tiagra levers... LBS wanted £15 to install the headset which seemed a bit steep... 1 Block of wood, a hammer and about 3 minutes of my time proved plenty efficient!
Crank set should be arriving tomorrow along with a set of grips... Bars will need cutting a good inch or so each side... Then I'll be looking at tyres / tubes & brakes. So far absolutely loving building from scratch, much satisfaction!
Apologies for the poor phone pics!

I'd advise building it all sans grips then taking it for a spin before cutting down the 'bars - sometimes the leverage of wiiiiiide bars makes the bike so much nicer to ride.
If after riding you still want to cut down the 'bars you will have no grips to take off/replace/damage3.
Also cut down the 'bars in small amounts so you don't over cut.Postby team47b » Sun Jun 28, 2015 11:53 am

If you use lock on grips you won't have to worry about having them with the bars.

Few new bits and spec so far... Chainset is only temporary, but couldn't resist for less than a tenner!
