Hi, yesterday my new rear rim came and i attached it on. However the freewheel, the 6th gear cog (the smallest one) needs tightening as when i ride the bike the chain just turns the lock ring or something. Can anyone tell me what to do?

The lockring won't be tight enough, or maybe there's a spacer missing.
Did you fit the cassette (freewheel) yourself? It has to be assembled a certain way for it to be installed properly.Current:

I did it myself. But this has never happened before. How do you tight the lock ring?0

Lock ring tool and adjustable spanner.
Is there a spacer behind the cassette? If so it may be stopping the smallest cog getting grip.Current:

I have a freewheel tool. I know everything is there. I just need to tight the cog.0

If it's a freewheel, there is no lock ring......
From what you say you have a defective freewheel, but I would have thought such a defect wasn't possible, can you try describing it differently?Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
