SpiceRoads Cycling Tours- Experience?

I have just found a company called SpiceRoads Cycling Tours which has a number of Southeast Asia tours. Does anyone have any firsthand experience with this company that they would share? I am starting to focus on their Thailand road cycle tours. Thanks

Used them for family bike tour in Northern Thailand about a year ago and they were very good. Our guide was helpful and pleasant and we were followed by a van.

Hi El Rey, I have never used Spice Roads or any other tour company for any cycling in Thailand yet. I live in Nakhon Phanom (NE Thailand) for 3-4 months every year, full time from this August, and cycle all the time whilst there.

If you have never cycled in Thailand before, then I suggest you head for Chiang Mai or to a lesser extent Chiang Rai, there is a massive cycling scene there, both road and mountain bike, with the locals and plenty of expats enjoying fantastic roads, scenery, food, and the climate. I will be up in Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai for a week approximately in early March, going to try some of the climbs around there (I must be mad) lol.

Thanks. As you can see I have been slow in looking at this post. I am doing the Bangkok-Phuket ride in Oct. If all goes well then I will look at either a Northern Thailand ride or the Ho Chi Min Highway ride next year.

Just completed a 10 day trip from Bangkok to Phuket and it was a great experience. I wish the roads in America where so good and the drivers so polite. The guides were great, the hotels were excellent, and the food was outstanding. I will post more on my blog at getmytravelingshoes.wordpress.com.
