3 options:
1)You might be able to find a reducer crown race for your existing headset ( though the information on that link is a bit vague, and you might find it hard to find right one).
2)Slightly more awkward, as it means removing your crown race from your existing forks; you could use this hope reducer in conjunction with your existing headset and crown race. http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/hope ... -prod71609
3)An alternative would be to replace the lower half of the headset with a semi-integrated cup for 1 1/8" (you'd need to know the internal measurement of your headtube and get one that fits that, and a 1 1/8" steerer).0 -
Ta very much. I shall have a bit of a look. If the crown race is in situ on the replacement fork then, to me, 3 sounds like an easier option? My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

No - not that simple. The crown race is an integral part of the headset, and it's very unlikely that one that just happens to be fitted to the forks is going to automatically match the new headset you put in the frame. Expect to replace any existing crown race with the new one that comes with the headset.0
