Any bargains around? Looking for some SPD compatible shoes, something that looks vaguely like a road shoe rather than a trainer. These are just a spare pair for winter commuting so the cheaper the better, will consider anything other than Shimano and I think I might have to draw the line at Muddy Fox. The DHB ones look like the best deal but is there anything else that I am missing?

  • Have a look on here, I got a really nice pair of Scott shoes for dirt cheap and I can't fault them.

I also got a Scott helium gilet for about £25 which is a nice bit of kit albeit too warm for even this time of year

I have yet another pair of Sidi new in the box for when my diadora El cheapO finally become too smelly.

I think I paid £80 for the sidi's in the Jan sales, that said they've been in the spares box for more than a year.

  • The Northwave winter boots don't fit the cheap criterion, but on the other hand mine are on their 4th winter and still going strong so in the longer term work out OK for me cost-wise.
