If I'm swapping everything from a 2012 Specialized Allez Sport to a 7005 Ribble winter frame do I need a new BB?
If so, which one?
The group set on the Allez is Sora - Ribble have said:

"The Ribble 7005 Winter/Audax frame requires a British thread standard bottom bracket. The specific bottom bracket you will need depends on the chainset you are using"

It's probably quite simple once someone explains it to me but at the min I'm head scratching

You need a Shimano Hollowtech II bottom bracket - chances are that your Spesh already has a Sora one fitted so you could just swap that over. Pretty sure the thread will be British/English on the Spesh frame. If you want to replace it you can use Sora, Tiagra, 105, Ultegra or Dura Ace - they are all interchangeable. Just depends how much you want to spend.

My recommendation wound be to get a 105 BB in British (English) thread such as:-

the English version is only £9.50

If you plan to do the job yourself you will also need a removal/refitting tool such as:-
