Been to Jalon, which isn't far. Col de Reys is the bigclimb. You can see Ibiza from the top. That road is great cycling but you need some climbing legs for it. Massively popular area with Spanish teams and clubs. There is plenty of kinder terrain nearer the coast.
There are some decent hire places that will deliver to you but I can't remember their names.
Good terrain and good climate. That whole peninsula is a lovely part of Spain to visit, regardless of cycling.Boardman Elite SLR 9.2S

I prefer to stay at Calpe, but it's all the same riding really. Lots of great hills, views and potential variety of routes. No real cols of the Alpine variety, but long days out with 3000m+ amounts of climbing possible.
The hotel we stay at: http://www.granhotelsolymar.com/index.php isn't exactly cheap, but is reasonable in March and half board is good value, lots of bikers stay here as well.http://www.fachwen.org

Ive been to Denia last four year with http://www.traininspain.net, based in Denia. Very highly recommended.
Fantastic empty roads, great climbs. Road surfaces unbelievably good. Weather less volatile than Majorca. Denia is a very pleasant place too, interesting old port town. Goods restaurants, shops etc. Old castle for a bit of siteseeing.
A few of the pro teams base themselves there for winter training camps, BMC being one.0
