My moots CR custom -pic update

well she took long enough to get to me (3 months wait!!) but it was worth it. The custom geometry is spot on and im overawed by the ride quality of the frame. I opted for the CR over the RSL due to the fact that i love riding, im not a racer and im getting on so a more 'relaxed' geometry was for me. i live in the highlands and long day rides on the west coast are order of the day for this machine.

spec is pretty much how i want it, not really after the lightest bike i could build so exotic carbon parts were not required (although i do love my EEcycleworks brakes which can be classed as somewhat exotic). Upgrade wise, well nothing really, maybe some fancy carbon rims for the Kings in time but again, i don't actually need them and im not really looking for an 'aero advantage'... Hope she meets to your approval, certainly does mine

cheers for the kind words. not to sound like a employee of the moots marketing board but i must admit, I've never ridden a bike like it. I've had 2 ti bikes (1 litespeed, 1 merlin) in the past both of which have been nice but i didn't get that 'magical ride' from them that folk talk about. Out on the moots the other day it felt so smooth (sorry, no other way to describe it) compared to all my other steeds. I'm hoping this is now the pinnacle of my quest for that 'perfect bike', she has an alpine adventure next summer so we'll see how she fairs in getting my a$$ up mt ventoux

That's really nice - good effort.
Personally I'd lose the red bits on the tyres and sti hoods but the rest is just sweeeeeeeet!

Yep, may go back to black on the hoods and tyres, they were left over from the last build.

cheers, the seatpin was an unknown as id always had a carbon pin but it all adds to the ride as does the stem, i thought they would be somewhat harsh but no, i was surprised.

carbon - im sure there is a shop in china somewhere that will do you one

cost, my wife sometimes reads this forum so i better not say

i swapped the hoods back to balck last night for a comparison and i must say i think they have the edge of the red..
