my old trek 3500 is maybe the worst mountainbike on the market and i did pretty good on that actualy. now i just want somthing worth upgrading later on. im gonna use on the trails, and to commute. my budget is really low i can't afford anything more expensive and i can't get any good bikes second hand where i live

Excellent bike, and at the price a steal.

If you can't afford more, why worry about what you can upgrade later? You're not going to get better for the money so any later upgrades (if you actually need them) will just cost more if you buy a rubbish bike.
So I kind of seem to be missing your logic.I don't do smileys.

i can't afford more right now, in a month or two i can. and i mean people are always talking about how u need to buy a frame u can upgrade when u get more enperienced and want better gear, like better brakes fork gears and stuff.
on my old trek i only put downhillpedals on because i knew it wast worth upgrading0 -
but anyway thanks for the input0

People talk bollock a lot.
But as most non boutique frames are made in the same factories in Taiwan, it makes little difference whether you buy a Calibre, a Rockrider or a Specialised.I don't do smileys.

I'm with CD (dammit), there is a lot of tosh spouted about frame, bpmy 'lowly' Carrera frame weighs the same as the same year Rockhopper and lighter than a Hardrock frame yet some people will try and tell you it's not as upgradeable (have a look at my thread, link in sig, I think it's proven very upgradeable).
The calibre two.two is a good bike, but if you have enough money coming in two months for meaningful upgrades it would make much more sense to wait two months and buy a better bike, it will be better than the upgraded calibre.
If you want to ride in the meantime buy a semi decent bike locally and sell it in two months when you should get back what you paid for it!Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
I would agree with the above, if you wait a couple of months you will get much better value for money. Also consider going second hand fir a bargain if you are confident.0

You won't get better value for money. The Calibre is about the best value for money you can get.
You might get a better bike, but you will spend considerably more to do it.I don't do smileys.

RR8.1 isn't that much more for a much better bike?Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Maybe but as budget is 'really low' it's hard to comment.I don't do smileys.

Agreed, but assuming the upgrades were going to be truly that (not just 'grades' - so wheels and forks for example) then he would appear to be going to be spending about the price difference between the two on them?Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
