Just come overseas, first day in the office so have another week out here to put up with, feels just like a Monday....and I don't need to tell you why I don't like 'em!
Saving grace is I have Saturday off, the 'bad' news is I've been persuaded to a 200km Randonneur road ride! (plus 13km ride from hotel to the 5.00am start point!)......I may be able to sit down again by Monday!

Mehning Losers!
Happy Birthday bg13!
Yesterday was stupidly busy. I had about a hundred things going on at once. It didn't even make the day go faster
Woke up in the middle of the night and nearly threw up. I now feel rough as a badgers ar$e and haven't even touched a drop of alcofrol. This sucks, and I'm not sure why.
Meh. Laters! It takes as much courage to have tried and failed as it does to have tried and succeeded.

TKM - it's because you didn't drink

Feeling muchos better after two alcohol free days and two brief (12km) forrays into the night on a bike.
Probably going again tonight but might crack out the ROAD BIKE as I've got to get in some sort of shape for christmas.Advocate of disc brakes.0 -
Morning 'tards
I'm in agony today, I must have slept funny as my back is killing me. Every time I move I get a shooting pain from my shoulder blade down my back. Probably some slacker sticking knives in my back.
Agree with Mr H on most things. TKM should have had a drink, happy birthday bg, but Rookie your ride sounds like a recipe for feeling like you just took it up the pooper.
No riding today, had to get a lift in as I could barely move. Got a lift most of the way home but will have to walk the rest. Not a bad thing as they are switching on the Xmas lights in Kingston so the traffic will be more FUBAR than usual.
Until then tea and more drugs...

Afternoon.
Well yesterday was a shocker. I do a lot of CAD work, and am looking at screens for the majority of the day. In the afternoon, my vision started to blur when trying to focus. This turned into a kaleidoscope type vision, kind of when you've looked at a bright light and it remains when you look away. This then turned into a agonising headache, and when I got home I started vomitting. I then pretty much passed out for four hours. When I woke I was better, but feel a bit ropey today. Unlike our friend Cody I know this was because I threw up my food and didnt have any energy. After bannans, tomato and lentil soup, a cheese roll and plenty of water I feel better. Hope it doesnt happen again. Havn't been for an eye test in about five years (dont currently wear or need glassess) but I think I need to go tomorrow.

Sounds like it could be a migraine. I don't get them but a friend does. He says if he catches it when his vision starts to go and just lies in a dark room it's not too bad. But if he carries on they can get bad. I believe these things can vary enormously though.
~Thanks Matt. My back still hurts, I'm sulking.0 -

My mum apparently gets them in the exact same sequence as I did; vision, headache, nausea. She also says the way you've described is exactly how she deals with them. Encouraging to hear because she has a load of self remedies, and sounds like this one might actually work.0 -
P.s Hope your back gets better. Only thing I can suggest is a long soak in a hot bath. Dont know why i specified hot, as if you'd have a long soak in a cold bath0

Evening Tards, I'm in a work related narky mood again, it's gone mental in the office and there's no bike related relief till Sunday. At least with this much work they won't sack me unless I punch somebody's lights out. Roll on the ferkin weekend."I spent most of my money on birds, booze and fast cars: the rest of it I just squandered." [George Best]0 -
Punching someone's lights out does have it's advantages, might be worth it. I've not done that yet, but I did pin someone to a desk by the throat once. The boss told me off, said I should have hit him harder.
Just had a half hour walk, hasn't helped.0 -

Half hour walk - I'm impressed0
