Basically just wondering if anyone can tell me which bike is "better"? Just going to be for commuting to work and then also some woodland rides at weekends so predominantly 75% on the road.

Does the full carbon frame of the Planet X bike make it obviously superior?

Which ever feels right to you.
If I were choosing between the 2 on paper, I would go for the Norco. In 2013 I narrowed down the Norco A1 and the Merida CX4.
I like how Shimano shifters feel, having never tried SRAM before I took a gamble on the Planetx Dirty Disco but don't like the feel of the SRAM hoods, I find them uncomfortable & they give me pins/needles on long rides.
As I said earlier try both out if you can & buy which-ever feels right for you but both will be well suited to your needs.0 -
Check how out how the Sram and 105 levers work to change the mechs. They operate differently and it would be best to try before you buy....................................................................................................
If you want to be a strong rider you have to do strong things.
However if you train like a cart horse you'll race like one.0
