I bought one of these ages ago and found it to be useless to the point where I thought it must be a scam. However, they are still going so is it just me? I see they have a longer version out now.

I have one and works well. Great when the roads are wet. Obviously of limited use in a deluge.
Did a good (not perfect) job today.0 -
Really useful but more for random downpours or damp roads in the summer.
Full guards are the only answer in winter.0 -
I saw plenty of people on the Fred Whitton ride last May with these, and they seemed to do exactly as advertised - kept their backsides dry. They did not, however, keep dry anything above as most had wet stripes up their backs.
I think for better coverage, you need something like this:

But obviously for the best coverage, full length is best!0 -
This should be the only use allowed for them:

I use the Ass Saver - mostly on those rides when I know there will be puddles and I've rather not have that horrible cold wet ass feeling. Where they are less good is keeping your inner thighs dry.
As above, I use Swan R on my other bike. From a protection point of view, it's nearly as good as a full guard. Where it isn't amazing is keeping spray off the people behind you - but that's just god's way of telling them they need to take a turn up front :twisted:ROAD < Scott Foil HMX Di2, Volagi Liscio Di2, Jamis Renegade Elite Di2, Cube Reaction Race > ROUGH0 -
Better than nothing - but nowhere near as good as full guards. I just have mine clipped under the saddle on my good bike for the summer.0

Made my own from a cracker lid, quite enjoyed the process. Used it on 2 rides, it did what it was meant to. Fitted full guards.0
