Rear Wheel Bearings

Hi, around 2 weeks ago. I cleaned out the old grease and put some new grease in. The wheel bearings currently in the hub look perfectly fine. Its been twice now to replace the grease. The chain now slips as i think the rear wheel cannot move properly due to the bearings. Do you think i need to replace the bearings and it should be fine or is it something else. Another question i wanted to ask was normally how many weeks or months do i need to replace my bearings and grease.
Thanks
Thanks

What sort of hubs?
Assuming cup and cone, you've probably tightened the locknuts too much. Do the wheels spin?I don't do smileys.

The wheels on my commuter are cup and cone, bought used, regreased properly when bought, have done 4,500 miles without needing touching.
With CD, you have reset the cones and locknuts so it spins freely by hand when you're finished?Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
Hi, i checked and the cup or cone was damaged. I have attached an image so you can see. I am really frustrated now. I don't know what to do. I can't find any replacements. Any ideas what to do now.
UPDATE: I had a front rim. Took the cup and the cone and tried to fit it on but didn't fit like the old one i had. Could you give me a link where to order replacements or do i have to purchase a new rim. Any ideas how much will halfords charge to repair it.

There are a myriad of combos - what is the make and model of hub?0

Hi, as you can see from the image I have uploaded, that's all it says on the actual hub. However on the rim it does say 'Sabre Sports'. The whole rim is blue so I do know that the hub hasn't be changed. So what do you suggest?
If I take to Halfords what do you think they might say? What do you think needs replacing?

You may be able to get new cones (the bits that screw onto the axle) but if the cups are shot it's scrap.
Even quite badly worn cones are useable (just not nice!) and won't stop a properly setup hub rotating.
It's a cheap wheel, you may be better off getting a better one.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
