Hi there.
I am looking at buying new carbon clinchers. They come with pads suitable with the wheels, and they state Shimano compatible brake pads, but I have 2014 Campag Centuar.
Will the pads fit?
Thanks
Luke

Shimano compatible pads I've come across have an indentation at the back for a little screw to retain the pad in the holder. The Campag compatible pads I've used don't have the retaining screw and simply slide in. It may be that the Shimano pads on those wheels will be the same profile and shape as your existing Centaur ones. If that is so, I don't believe the indentation at the back of the pad will make any difference. Some years ago I was once sold what I believe now may have been the wrong BBB pads for some Campag brakes as they had the Shimano-style indentation. But the shape and profile was identical to the Campag OE pads and they fitted and worked fine.
However, the manufacturers recommend against mixing pad styles. And the shape and profile of pads varies according to the date of when the brake was manufactured.
Your safest bet is to buy some Campag compatible pads for your new wheels. Or you could buy some Shimano compatible pads with holders to use on your Centaur brakes.0
