Has anyone got these bikes cant decide whether the am would be a better choice long term. I would want to change the forks on the tr to pikes if i went down this avenue. Assume the extra weight on the am wont be too much of a pain on climbs, i read on forums that someone sold an am for a tr but then wanted the am back.

Appreciate peoples experience with either.

It depends entirely on what sort of riding you do. They are equally good bikes but the tr is lighter and a better climber, the am is better on rougher desxents.
My tr gets used for everything from all day xc rides to enduro races and it's perfect for that. I have ridden a mates am and it's probably better 10% of the time so I'm sticking with the TR.
