Considering trying one when my current chainring wears out - wondered if anyone has slapped the Absolute Black offering in this area on their bike yet? Or any other version?

I have Biopace on my retro, they are rotated one bolt hole (72degrees) which more closely aligns the largest radius with that used on modern offerings like AB and Q-rotor, can't say. I really notice it when pedalling, whether it's better or not. I can't say as the retro doesn't get used in the same way as the MTB or commuter.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0

Would be interesting to see how well they work, if they do, they could be a good way to give a bit more range on a 1x setup.0
