canyon questions

Fiftieth birthday in a couple of months so time for a new bike. At present I ride a 2009 Ridley Orion in medium which I love but with a dodgy back ( two fused lumbar vertebrae ) I think its time to admit that its just to long, low and punishing for me these days.
After lots of geometry studying Im leaning towards a Canyon endurace but the delivery times on there site seems a long way out unless im misunderstanding it.
Does CW12 16.3 - 21.3 really mean mid march next year Four months away.
Im wavering between the small and the medium though. I am 5ft 9in and the canyon sizing system is suggesting small but the additional height of the mediums front end is appealing to my spine but worried it might be a bit long. Any thoughts or advice will be much appreciated. Thanks

Ridiculous.
In that delivery time you can order something custom with 1 month discussion and still get it sooner then a 13 in a dozen bike.0 -
I waited until the Canyon I wanted showed as from stock and then ordered, in 10 days they had built it and delivered it.0

If you do go for the Canyon in medium, bear in mind that the split seatpost (leaf sprung)they come with needs a minimum amount out of the seat tube to accommodate the 'split'.
I have the CF SL, and I am so reluctant to put it into hibernation for the winter, because it''s such a pleasure to ride.0 -
hi.I went for the xl endurance as their sizing widget put me in that size but when I spoke to canyon on the phone they recommended a size l,like you I wanted the extra height on the bars and went with the xl,i just got away with the sizing as I only have 4mm of the seatpost showing from max insertion, best to phone them and double check your inseam to make sure the leaf seatpost will not be too high at max insertion,I had a 6 week wait for the bike but it was worth its as its a nice smooth ride, super stiff and quick on the take off, bike is very well finishedand everything on it is to a high spec,i have a giant defy as well and they are a very similar fit,the size large defy and the xl endurance fell very similar aside of the endurance having more of a stretch to it,i had to swap the 120 stem to a 90 and might try a 70cm one when I get a chance.regards0

I've just ordered a Canyon SL frame. Delivery date is end of March, for a frame?!
At the end of the day it doesn't make too much difference as I have a new winter bike. But 4 months for just a frame, that's mental!0 -
You should see how long you have to wait for one of their new Aeroad frames then... wk20, May0
