Northwave Arctic Commuter MTB sizing?

About to press go but cannot decide on size.
I've tried a Northwave 45 and they were ok on length but the toe box (with thick socks on) was low.
But, I take Sidi 45, Giro 45 etc. In fact Giro 45 are fine with thick socks.
I'm reluctant to go full size up so do these size up slightly larger than other Northwaves?

Not my experience the toe box isnt any wider. They are just that little bit smaller than spesh.
I also tried a 46 but they felt like clown feet.0 -
Ta. To be honest I dunno if I can be bothered. BBB overshoes are about £15. My shoes fit me very well.My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)
