Front Suspension Stuck

Took my Giant Talon 4 up Glentress today and noticed halfway through riding that the front suspension is completely stuck and not 'bouncy' anymore.
The conditions were very wet and muddy so not sure if that has affected the suspension somehow causing it to go very rigid?
The bike is only a month old. Suspension lock is definitely open and I've tried altering the preload both ways to their max and nothing changes (I even turned it so far negative that the preload lock started coming out, probably making it worse).
Suspension specs:
SR Suntour XCT HLO, 100mm travel, lockout

Or is locked on. Remove the lockout cap and turn the dial under it. Sometimes slips.0

If bike is new then go straight back to shop - don't mess with it as it may affect any warranty you have. Get them to sort it.0

had same happen with same forks , deffo water inside , it will keep happening with those forks if riding in wet conditions , I took lower legs off before each ride ( or night before ) to clean / drain etc0

Cheers. I think it could have water inside, seems the most logical explanation.
I've booked it in a service, but it's not until next week.
Will it cause much harm if I leave the bike as it is until then?0 -
I'd check that the lockout is not stuck on as above. very common problem, there is a fix on the Suntour page for it.0

Leaving water in will result in rust...
You can improve the basic Sunytour's issue with water by using a good waterproof grease in the top of the lowers to both lube the stachions in the bushes and help prevent water ingress by filling in above the pushes in the lowers. Red rubber grease works well.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
