Credit Where Credits due. Merlin

Just wanted to say about a year ago I bought a Groupset and Wheelset off Merlin to build up a bike.

Wanted to insure said Build with Cycleplan. Advice was to get an LBS to value it as I only had a receipt for the frame.

One quick E mail to Merlin and Bex at Merlin has sent me copies of all my invoices with them. Great Service!

    Or gone to your LBS who would have written you out a replacement quote for full RRP of the bits meaning that when it does get nicked/stolen you don't come on here saying that the insurance company will only pay out x instead of y and you can't get parts for x now and how it's all so bad .....

    Thankfully the one about the Merlin account is valid should have thought about that.

    I think the title of the post let you know what you were in for, sorry for taking you precious time you ve obviously got better things to do than read peoples stories on the internet.

    I was genuinely pleased with the service I received from Merlin ( if in retrospect I could have got the information myself) Many people are quick to have a go at the big boys Wiggle et al on here so I thought I d give some deserved balance.

    I can Imagine the reaction to going into my LBS and asking them to put a value on a bike that's mainly been kitted out and built from kit from On line specialists, I don't think it would have been positive.
