Sram Force 22 Shifter Housing Crack

I re-positioned my shifters on my handlebars for a more touring/comfortable position and I noticed that my shifters were sticking. I took the hoods off and noticed the transport pawl was sliding over the holding pawl when performing up-shifts. Turns out that it looks like a crack has formed at the clamp on the outer side of each shifter. Does anyone know of a fix for this, should I contact SRAM, or did I just ruin them?

  • Contact SRAM they have a very good rep re warranty issues and often help out even after warranty period has expired from what Ive heard.

I'm guessing that it's in line with the centre of the steel band, as you can see the crack extending through the next vertical rib.
