I have just sold my cosmic carbone slr and now looking to buy my new wheelset,i am looking at enve 6.7 vs the new bora ultra 50 quite a price difference.
I will be doing the odd time trial but mostly general alround riding,i am edging towards the bora but the enve,s I have been told are lovely wheels, any input would be appreciated.

Not even the same league. Enve all the way.

The rims are available seperatley. You get them built up with different hubs like White Industries T11 e.t.c and save some money and get a wheelset that performs as well as ENVE's own.

Haven't tried the Bora, but no complaints with Enve.

I don't see any reason why Enve is another league from Bora?New Bora is wider with new braking track, hubs are great and spoke pattern is usual as on all Campy wheels.

Campag Bora are just another mass produced wheelset, Enve are waaaay more boutique, and ultimately better quality. That's what you pay for.

Oh,but Enve wheels are not another mass produced wheelset? Or you can see them equaly in USA as you can see Campy in Italy?
Both wheels are great, you pay for top quality not for better Enve or worse Bora.

Wiggle have the bora in stock tubular version, clincher out next month price under£1700, nearly bit the bullet but still not sure what to get tubular or clincher.

  • Having had (still have) a tubular wheelset I would say go clincher. The slight increase in feel is not worth the time spent bricking it you're going to get a puncture. I get the impression a new tyre may not be financially painful to you, but for me this really limits the use I get from the wheels as I'll only take them out when conditions are good.

I would say I haven't had many punctures (riding corsa evos) but I had a little run of 3/4 and £160 later wished I'd gone clincher. Like I say that might not be an issue when buying a £1800+ wheelset though
