The answer to your question is that rationally the Cervelo is not worth £550 more unless you really want a Cervelo bike. There of course nothing wrong with that but it like many of the other major oem s does no represent good value in my book. That doesn't stop me wanting one. The sensible thing would be but the felt and and nicer wheels with the £500. however the key question is would you love it every time you looked at it?
Is the frame on the 2014 the same frame for all the ar models
I think the same frame was used on all, except for the top of the range AR FRD, which used the trick looking TeXtreme 100 material. For 2015, the AR1 and AR2 also use TeXtreme.
Dunno. But I know what I'd buy and it wouldn't be the Planet-X.
whys that
It's largely an unknown quantity. Hardly any reviews worth a mention and it's quite old now. I'd also trust the R & D of Felt and Cervelo a lot more than anything Planet-X would come up with.

It's just a hill. Get over it.

Does nobody else find this nomenclature amusing?

They need to bring out an Evo version of the AR5 and call it the AR5E.
